  1. Strigoi - Troubled spirits that are said to have risen from the grave. They are attributed with the ability to transform into an animal, become invisible, and gain vitality from the blood of their victims.
  2. Selma Lake Monster - A legendary sea serpent said to live in the 8-mile-long Lake Seljord in Norway.
  3. Tatzelwurm - A lizard-like creature, often described as having the face of a cat, with a serpent-like body that may be slender or stubby, with four short legs or two forelegs. 
  4. Nuckalavee - A horse-like demon from Orcadian folklore that combines equine and human elements.
  5. Mare - a malicious entity in Germanic and Slavic folklore that rides on people's chests while they sleep, bringing on nightmares.
