- Selma Lake Monster - A legendary sea serpent said to live in the 8-mile-long Lake Seljord in Norway.
- Tatzelwurm - A lizard-like creature, often described as having the face of a cat, with a serpent-like body that may be slender or stubby, with four short legs or two forelegs.
- Nuckalavee - A horse-like demon from Orcadian folklore that combines equine and human elements.
- Mare - a malicious entity in Germanic and Slavic folklore that rides on people's chests while they sleep, bringing on nightmares.
